2019 Maserati Quattroporte vs 2019 Maserati Ghibli
Without counting the brand’s GT sports cars, there are two different sedans on the Maserati lineup. While the average shopper might glance at the two sedans and see little difference, the two models are actually quite different from one another despite their similarities. If you’re in the market for a premium, high-performance vehicle of your own, then Maserati is certainly the brand for you. But which model? If you’re having trouble answering that question, we’re here to help, by showing you the differences and similarities between the two models as we pit the 2019 Maserati Quattroporte vs 2019 Maserati Ghibli
For starters, one of the biggest differences is that the Maserati Quattroporte was introduced in 1963 and has been the pinnacle of the lineup every year since. While the Ghibli was introduced four years later, it only lasted until 1973. It returned for several years in the nineties, before disappearing again. The current model was introduced in 2013 and is by far the finest incarnation yet, and we expect it to stick around much longer this time.

Differences Between the 2019 Maserati Quattroporte & Ghibli
To understand the differences between the two vehicles you first need to understand which segments the vehicles belong to. You might have glanced at the table above and started thinking these vehicles are even more alike than you thought. They have the same horsepower and extremely similar fuel economy, but then the differences start to come. That’s because the Quattroporte is a full-size luxury sedan while the Ghibli is a smaller executive sedan. The executive segment slides between full-size and midsize, and we assure you the Ghibli is every bit as luxurious.
The size difference is evidenced in the third row, where we see that the Quattroporte weights 111 pounds more than the Ghibli. That’s not a huge difference, so as you can see the Ghibli is only a bit smaller. However, that does lead to its slight increase in fuel economy and makes the Ghibli a bit nimbler with its 434 horsepower. The Quattroporte, on the other hand, offers a slightly more spacious cargo area in the form of an extra cubic foot.
